Our self catering apartments are an oasis of calm in the middle of York's busy City Centre. A truly fantastic location and a wonderful place to stay.

 

We rely on our good reputation, repeat bookings and recommendations from our guests.  With that in mind, we aim to provide everything that our guests will need and expect.

 

In York Holidays manage our apartments and look after our guests with the utmost professionalism from your first contact and a personal touch that offers just that bit extra, to make your stay special from start to finish. We also have a dedicated cleaning team who care that the apartments are cleaned to a very high standard!

 

We have tried to think of everything you may need to make your stay just perfect, so please let us know if you can think of anything that may help during your visit.

 

Parking

Our York holiday apartments are so close to the City Centre, you won't need your car during your stay and parking couldnt be easier. I'ts just 20 metres away from Monk Bar 24 hour Car Park which costs around£12.50 for 24hrs or £49 for 7 days.

Towels, Bedding and other bits and pieces

You will also find an iron and ironing board in the apartment and a hairdryer will be in the bedroom for you too. All hand and bath towels will be provided for your stay and all bedding is provided for the main bed and sofa bed too. We do ask that parents bring their own cot bedding though.

 

Please note that for bookings with guests of 4 or less in our 2 bedroomed apartment, we will not provide additional bedding for the temporary bed or sofa bed unless specifically requested. For bookings of 5 persons, bedding will be provided and left for the guests to make up the bed.

 

In our one bedroomed apartments, if the bookings is for 1 or 2 guests then the main bed wil be made ready. If the booking is for 3 or 4 guests then the bedding will also be provided for the temporary / sofa bed.

 

Safety

Each apartment has a fire blanket, fire extinguisher and smoke alarm to ensure your safety.

 

Booking Flexibility

We are very flexible on dates, so if you don't see your ideal dates in the booking system, please complete the enquiry form and this will email your requirements to us. We may be able to fit you in, providing this does not conflict with existing bookings or cleaning services.

Payment

We are able to take payment by Credit or Debit Card, cheque or BACS transfer through our online booking system, just click on the availability link and this will take you through the booking process.

 

Please note that a provisional booking will be held for 5 days, after which the dates will be released to enable re-booking by other parties if payment is not received during this time.

 

Notes on Prices

Prices are for the rental of the property in UK Pounds.

 

Booking Notes

A £150 deposit is required to secure the booking. The balance of the booking charge is to be paid 6 weeks in advance of your arrival. If you make a late booking, during the 6 weeks prior to your stay, the total balance is due upon booking.

 

Services

Sometimes services are interrupted from time to time, which may be outside of our control. These services will be reinstated to the best of our ability but we where are at the mercy of contractors/BT/NPower, this cannot always be possible within 24 hours. Refunds will not be offered in light of Broadband signal dropping/ short power cuts etc which are out of our hands.

 

Please note that these issues do not happen often, and we do have a number of emergency contractors who make themselves available within a few hours of our call. But please understand that sometimes there is sometimes no way of recovery on demand, especially at weekends/public holidays.

 

Respect for other Guests

We request that all our guests have the utmost respect for other guests staying at Minster's Reach Apartments.

 

We request a quiet time after 11pm and before 8.30am. Any ongoing noise issues will be treated with importance and we reserve the right to ensure guests vacate the apartment without refund if noise continues after complaint is made.

 

Security Deposit

 

We ask for a security deposit of £100 for each booking. We reserve the right to charge for repairs or deep cleaning if required.

 

Changeover Day

Preferred changeover days for most guests are Friday or Monday for weekly stays, Friday or Saturday for weekend stays, or Monday for midweek stays.

 

Christmas and New Year holidays may require us to alter these changeover days and these will be listed seperately. You can always request the dates that you require however.

 

Arrival time is after 3pm, although we are happy to let you drop bags off at the apartment earlier on your arrival date upon request. Please don't expect that the apartment will have been cleaned and ready by this time - this is purely for your to drop your bags into the hallway!

 

Generally we ask that guests vacate the apartments by 10am on their departure date. This gives the cleaning team time to prepare the apartments for the following guests.

 

Restrictions:

 

Please ensure that your party does not exceed the numbers stated in your booking agreement.

We recommend that you have your own travel insurance.

You must be over 18 to make a booking, and there must be at least one capable adult over the age of 18 within the visiting party.

Unaccompanied young parties or all male/female parties (of more than 2 people) are not accepted.

All male or all female parties are asked to advise us prior to confirming their booking.

Hen Parties and Stag Parties are not accepted unless booking all 4 apartments

We do not allow Pets to stay at our apartments

The apartments are strictly no smoking

Parents are held fully responsible for the safety of their children during their stay.

 

Our aim is to provide all our guests with a relaxed family atsmosphere and we request that excessive noise and disruption should be avoided, expecially during the evenings and through the night.

 

The outside barbeque area is available for the sole use of apartment 2, our ground floor 2 bedroomed apartment.

 

Apartment one also has a private garden area.

 

Please be aware that you are in close proximity to our other guests, so please respect our neighbours in the evenings by keeping noise to a minimum.

 

Cancellation

In excess of 8 weeks prior to your stay, your deposit is fully refundable upon cancellation.

 

Between 8 weeks and 4 weeks prior to your stay, your deposit is non-refundable, although we will do our best to transfer your booking to another suitable date.

 

If cancelling within 4 weeks of your stay, a charge of £250 will be due ( or full amount of booking value, whichever is lower).

 

Refunds will not be made if you are unable to travel to the apartments for any reason on the day of your arrival.

 

The owner reserves the right to cancel bookings at any time, this should only be due to unforseeable circumstances, such as loss of utilities etc. Alternative dates will be offered or a full refund will be given in these circustances. The owner will not accept responsiblity for the cost of any additional arrangements made by our guest outside of the apartments.

 

Accessibility

The ground floor apartments are on one level and are accessble via a level walkway from Monk Bar Car Park just 20 metres away. If you have mobility issues, please contact us to ensure you are accommodated on the ground floor.

 

Finally, we kindly ask that our guests look after our apartments during their stay. Please leave it as you find it, and please feel free to book again soon!
